What were your favorite discoveries or exercises on this learning journey?
I was finally able to remove my supervisor's photo from my myspace.

How has this program assisted or affected your lifelong learning goals?
I needed the extra push to make me try some of the assignments. I would not have tried them on my own.

Were there any take-aways or unexpected outcomes from this program that surprised you?
I have too many usernames and passwords out there. It is very confusing! My favorite new tool is the blog.

What could we do differently to improve upon this program’s format or concept?
Working with a buddy would have eased my pain. All of my buddies were busy working, and that's a pain.

I don't have time to watch tv or watch videos online. The only time I listen to recorded media is in my car. Usually I like Hank the Cow Dog or something of that nature. It appears to me that I could easily get into a site that I have no desire to be in. This project makes me a little nervous. Young people who are trying out this stuff without any guidance from an adult could be in over their heads quickly.

So now I have this really cool screensaver covered with lupines and snapdragons. I don't think I will ever use this site again, but who knows? I am not stressing over this nearly as much as in the beginning. My grandkids will be so proud of me.

This has been difficult for me because I am technologically challenged, to say the least! I want to learn this, but it takes me 3 times as long as the average guy. Part of my difficulties stem from the fact that I am learning a new tech lanquage and have to research what the terms mean before I feel comfortable in moving ahead.

Only two weeks have past since I last spoke with Mother. It seems like an eternity. She was
93 years old when her soul slipped the bonds of this earth to make its way to Heaven's door. Her memory will continue to influence my life. I am thankful for the friendship, companionship, guidance, and encouragement that she shared with me for six decades.

In the wee hours of the morning as Mother was transitioning from this life to her eternal place of rest, these words came to me.

I wallow in my splendid grief
And long to linger in the pain
That draws my soul to Heaven's reef
